Summer Solstice 2022 - Beach Kundalini Yoga & Sea Dip

Writer: Karen TaylorKaren Taylor

The summer solstice marks the longest day of the year. It is a time of lightness, opening, and movement. Come along and connect with nature and Kundalini energy to celebrate the Summer Solstice on the beautiful beach of Yellowcraigs in Dirleton! Kundalini yoga provides simple tools to help us align with the changes that summer brings and live in greater harmony with the earth.

We work with kundalini energy to bring both freedom and flexibility into our lives; we consciously direct prana, shifting blocks in our energy bodies, opening up to innate healing – mentally, emotionally and physically, rooting us in abundant joy and health. We can elevate our vibration, clear out some of the junk we carry around, and lay a new foundation for the year to come.

Class will start at 7pm on Yellowcraigs so you should arrive at the carpark for 6.45pm to give you time to walk down to the beach and set up your space.

We may even light a fire and have a wee sea dip after class if you fancy (not compulsory…!).

WHAT TO BRING

Yoga mat, lots of warm layers, socks & jacket, blanket, water bottle and hot drink for afterwards.

If swimming wear swimmers (underneath) and bring towel, spare underwear and hot drink.

It is recommended that you don’t eat anything for the 2 hours prior to the class (a light health snack is ok).
